Testimonials: What Other Clients Are Saying About Us

"At a recent industry meeting, a technology speaker asked the room of over 100 attendees to stand.  He then asked a series of questions about our company’s technology level. If we could not answer yes, we took a seat.  I was one of the last ones standing!  Thanks to Digital Sabre and the technology solutions they have developed for us, we are light years ahead of the competition."

Sabre Relocates to Accommodate Growth
Due to unprecedented growth experienced in the first two quarters of the year, Digital Sabre recently moved to a new, much bigger location. This larger facility can accommodate new full-time personnel that may be needed on a permanent or per project basis.  Plus, there are additional conference rooms to hold presentations and meetings. Central to Charlotte, North Carolina, this location boasts easy access from Interstate 85.

Our new address:
10130 Mallard Creek Rd.
Suite 300 – 3rd floor

Welcome to Digital Sabre…
Digital Sabre would like to welcome Queen Shoals to our ever-growing list of new clients. Queen Shoals, LLC is a privately held company, based in Charlotte, NC, with a client base of over three hundred. They came to Digital Sabre looking for an easier way to maintain customer data; one that is more efficient, reliable, user-friendly AND fully-automated. In the next two months, Digital Sabre will develop a custom application to address all these requirements and more. Once the application is complete, there will be measureable gains in return-on-investment as internal processes will be simplified and corporate and customer data will prove to be more accurate.

Sri Lanka Office Continues to Expand IT Expertise
Chetan Amalean, CEO of Digital Sabre Solutions, recently visited the principal development offices in Sri Lanka to report on corporate progress and assess the expanding development teams.  While there, Amalean had a productive meeting with the Board of Directors and Partners of Digital Sabre Solutions, LLC, and discussed expansion plans for the upcoming year.  “Overall, the visit was reassuring. It was great to see, first-hand, the wide-spread growth in both our skill set and team members,” said Amalean. “The forecast for the future looks very promising as we continue to implement the CMM process and advance our technology base.”

Demystifying the Technology: How Do You Choose the Right IT Developer?

Begin your search by questioning colleagues, checking the yellow pages and browsing the Web. Then follow these helpful tips that will assist you in choosing an IT developer to help build your vision.

Look at the company’s Web site.
Take some time and go through the company’s Web site. Read about the company. How long have they been in business and what is their development philosophy? Can you easily find the information you’re looking for? Do all the hyperlinks work or do you get an error message on some pages? Are the pages quick to appear?

If you find yourself saying no to any of these questions, move on.

Check the company’s portfolio.
Who are their clients?  See if you can contact their clients and ask about past experiences. Most professional development firms will offer references.  Do not be afraid to ask.

Does the company have a development process?
Ask if the company has such a process in place. If so, what is it? Sometimes, you may find this process outlined on the company’s website. Having a development process will show you that the company has established a firm foundation for all projects and that they will abide by these milestones as a way to maintain project integrity and consistency. This process keeps the project on track and organized, making the development time more efficient and cost effective.

If the company you contact has no idea what you’re talking about, move on.

Does the company try to understand your business?
It is impossible to design an effective application if the development team knows nothing about your business, how it works, and what your goals are. The developer should ask probing questions and exhibit a sincere interest in your business processes. Both sides should work together and learn from each other’s perspectives. Partnering with the right development firm is akin to building a long-lasting relationship. There must be understanding and commitment on both sides for the relationship to work.

When making your decision to hire an IT developer, take all of these points into consideration and above all, use your common sense. If company personnel do not return your phone calls, chances are they will not be responsive to your communications efforts during the development cycle.  You’ll thank yourself for putting the time into this research when you see the final outcome of a productive, efficient development process.
