 New software application just released – Supply Order, Inventory Control, and Billing.DSS has just completed the final release of a custom software application for a building-supply business. Originally, this company came to Digital Sabre with a request for a custom solution to accommodate its growing business. Several conversations and an onsite visit to identify necessary requirements yielded a competitive proposal to create a custom application. The cost for the custom application was the same as an “off-the-shelf” application once you included 3 years of license fees with the purchase price. Microsoft has come out with yet another upgrade to its enterprise application development toolkit.  This latest version is an improvement to their standard development tool, Visual Studio. What exactly is Visual Studio? In laymen’s terms, Visual Studio is a commonly used application tool to use when developing .Net projects. It is a powerful, robust application considered by many to be the standard choice when creating IT applications.
This new “Orcas” release is an advancement over older versions mainly because of its increased flexibility and efficiency. Visual Studio 2008 was created with three major goals in mind:
LINQ is another new feature that is extremely important to enterprise application developers. Throughout the enterprise, the core function revolves around data, both the analyzing and connecting of data. With the addition of LINQ, the data collection is more intuitive and is conducted in a more programmer-centric manner, meaning the process is logical and efficient.  Sr. Accountant and Controller Jenny Yaudes, has been with Digital Sabre Solutions for close to a year now. Her eleven-year experience in the accounting industry includes: external auditing with one of the largest Accounting firms in the world, Arthur Andersen and Senior Accountant at RF Micro Devices, a one billion dollar semiconductor company. Jenny has holds both a Bachelors’ and Masters’ degree in Accounting and is also an active Certified Public Accountant, CPA. Her experience in both public and industry accounting has provided her the knowledge and expertise necessary to guide DSS into making successful financial decisions as well as develop lucrative business processes.
Jenny enjoys the many benefits offered by DSS.
